The Historic Willmore Lodge at Lake of the Ozarks

The historic Willmore Lodge was built in 1930 by Union Electric and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now the home to the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lake of the Ozarks Visitor's Center, and the popular Bagnell Dam History Museum. Admission to the museum is free and the Visitor's Center is a wealth of information!

Lake of the Ozarks Visitor's Center & Bagnell Dam Museum

The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center has free area maps, as well as a wealth of information about the Lake of the Ozarks, area businesses, and things to do while you are here. While you are here be sure to walk through our free Willmore Lodge Museum to hear sites and sounds from Lake of the Ozarks over the years. You'll learn about the construction of Bagnell Dam, as well as the rich history of our community.

While visiting Willmore Lodge, make sure you take a stroll down our walking path to the beautiful lakeside gardens and gazebo. You won't find a better viewing area of the Lake of the Ozarks. There's a comfortable sitting area and a serene setting for relaxing, photo opportunities of the Lake, or even a picnic.
